In a world where style and music are constantly changing, Rhythm City’s choreography remains innovative and unique, resulting in a group of individuals who express Dance in a style all their own. They have traveled and competed both internationally and locally. Some avenues include Switzerland’s Dance 2 Dance Competition, Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss” & “G-Slide” Video, Wyclef “Fast Car” video, Carmen ft. Big Tigger “Sweat” Video, and Elijah “I Like Moving” Video. Also BET “Rip the Run Way”, BET “Blaze the Stage” & “106 and Park”, Last but not least, Culture Shock’s East Coast Dance Competition, among various other performances. The company’s intent is to cultivate the hip-hop dance form and teach it with the same dedication and respect commanded by other “classic” dance forms. Rhythm City uses Hip-Hop to empower the youth in their communities as an alternative to drugs, violence, and destructive influences. Led by CEO/Artistic Director Alonzo Williams, Rhythm City has grown to utilize hip-hop dance as a powerful medium to inspire performance and to bring positive
